Mader Skipping Ropes feature an adjustable nylon rope with hand-crafted wooden handles.

The rope is not fixed to the handles which makes skipping easier and stops the rope from becoming twisted and can be perfectly adjusted to each child's height.

In Steiner schools, skipping is woven into the rhythm of the school day. Teachers use it in the early years to support coordination, balance and concentration before class, engaging the whole body and settling children into a state of readiness for learning. At home, it offers the same simple pleasure with nothing more needed than a little space and a willingness to play.

Mader was founded in 1991 by Klaus Mader, a very skilled carpenter with a love for handcrafted wooden toys. He has a small but mighty workshop in the foothills of the Austrian Alps where he creates traditional Spinning Tops, Skipping Ropes and Yo-Yos - all by hand.
